The Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) operates eight hostels – six in Pakistan, one in India and one in Madagascar. The hostels provide students with access to quality education at an AKES or other school, which they might not otherwise be able to attend. The hostels strive to provide secondary and higher secondary students with a safe residential environment, in addition to academic, co-curricular and socio-emotional support.
Pastoral care is delivered by hostel staff who are trained in health and safety. Students are provided with healthy and nutritious food. They have access to computer labs, tutoring, sports facilities, and spaces for self-expression, such as art rooms or performance areas.
