Aga Khan Trust for Culture
The Trust’s work in Lahore Fort began with the documentation of the Picture Wall - a 442 metre mural that spans the northern and western façades of the Fort. The project included digital documentation of the Fort, as well as a prototype project to restore a section of the Picture Wall and eventually other parts of the Fort. The Trust helps build local capacity by assisting the Government of Punjab to prepare a Master Conservation and Re-Development Plan for the Walled City, emphasising the protection and conservation of Lahore’s prized historic core and the maintenance of a substantial residential population by improving quality of life.
