AKDN works alongside the people of the Kyrgyz Republic to shape a healthier, more prosperous future. Employing 1,800 people, our work spans:
- Agriculture: building irrigation canals and improving cattle productivity;
- Climate resilience: planting trees and supporting renewable energy;
- Health: providing clinics, e-health services and vital information;
- Finance: helping found the Kyrgyz Investment Credit Bank and providing small business loans;
- Economy: offering entrepreneurship training and capital;
- Education: establishing jailoo kindergartens, teaching students up to postgraduate level and strengthening national education planning; and
- Culture: promoting Kyrgyz music and theatre, from children’s komuz lessons to international performances.
