Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the AKDN has been working in all the countries where it operates to stop the spread, educate citizens, and contribute to the global efforts to bring an end to the pandemic. In this video, we learn about how Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH Nairobi) and Roche Pharmaceuticals are participating in a global clinical trial for potential treatment of COVID associated pneumonia. In this video, Professor Mansoor Saleh, Director of the Cancer Centre & Clinical Research Unit at the AKUH Nairobi, explains this first therapeutic trial in COVID pneumonia in the whole of East Africa.
