31 March 2022 – Prince Rahim Aga Khan today affirmed the “unfailing commitment of the Ismaili Imamat and the AKDN to the people of Afghanistan” at a virtual conference convened by the UN to address the country’s humanitarian crisis.

“They have shown time and again that they are resilient and resourceful,” said Prince Rahim. “But today, they need help.”

Speaking on behalf of His Highness the Aga Khan, Prince Rahim urged the international community to act with generosity and speed to support the UN’s humanitarian appeal and “send a signal of hope to Afghans across the country”.
