This newsletter was produced by the University of Central Asia (UCA) for students, faculty, alumni, partners and the wider university community. It highlights the University's activities and achievements in April 2026, including its participation in the Regional Ecological Summit 2026 in Astana, where governments, researchers and development organisations met to address environmental challenges across Central Asia.
The newsletter also reports on the National Round of the International Economics Olympiad in the Kyrgyz Republic, which involved more than 12,000 students from 450 schools and resulted in the selection of five national finalists. Other features include UCA's first Bilim Run Naryn community event, which attracted more than 350 participants, the graduation of the first cohort of the Cybersecurity Specialist Programme in the Kyrgyz Republic, and announcements of upcoming conferences, summer school applications and graduation events.
One notable upcoming event will be the International Conference on Mountains, Climate and Health in Central Asia, which will bring together experts to explore climate and health challenges in mountain regions.
