A total of 50 students have graduated from the International Baccalaureate diploma programme (IBDP) at Aga Khan High School in Kampala, close to half of whom have already secured scholarships to prestigious universities around the world. The IB diploma programme is equivalent to an upper secondary school course where students study six subjects to meet core requirements, and graduates qualify to join any university of their choice across the globe. Speaking during the 19th graduation ceremony in Kampala earlier this month, the Headteacher, Mr Michael Musaazi, attributed the achievements to the exceptional support and dedication of the stakeholders who had confidence in the graduates’ future academic success, noting that the cohort posted an impressive average of 34 points in their predicted IB grades. “As you embark on this new chapter, I urge you to hold on to the values, skills, and memories that have defined your life in the Aga Khan Education Service. We are proud of the many students who have scooped prestigious scholarships. This is proof that hard work, discipline, and a supportive learning environment can open global doors,” Mr Musaazi said.
