A global educational centre, UCA was founded in 2000 by an international treaty between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). It offers a five-year computer science programme in English, developed together with the University of Toronto. The program combines theory and practice, teaching modern IT skills in small groups and providing internships through cooperative education.
