Concluding that targeted financial inclusion of women is a transformative initiative crucial for achieving gender equality, a stakeholders' dialogue emphasised its potential to foster comprehensive community participation, provide life-changing opportunities, and ensure access to resources and services. The dialogue, themed "Advocating for Inclusive Financing for Women's Leadership and Economic Empowerment," was organised in Uganda by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in partnership with the African Women’s Development Network (FEMNET), the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE), Public Health Ambassadors Uganda (PHAU), and Community Empowerment for Rural Development (CEFORD). It addressed the significance of economic empowerment and explored practical solutions to overcome the barriers impeding women's economic advancement.
