Afghan Foreign Minister, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, met with the AKDN Representative for Afghanistan, Mrs. Sheherazade Hirji, on 12 January to discuss development projects and AKDN’s activities in Afghanistan. The Foreign Minister praised AKDN for providing support in various areas ranging from rural development projects to restoration of historical places in Afghanistan. Mrs Hirji briefed the Foreign Minister on AKDN’s projects and the possibility of addressing the energy deficit in Afghanistan. She assured Minister Atmar of AKDN’s continued commitment to the people of Afghanistan.
