The Aga Khan Academy (AKA) Dhaka aims to contribute to Bangladesh’s vision of becoming a prosperous nation by providing students with the highest standard of education. This prepares them for the future and enables them to make a positive impact in a changing world, says Suvina Shunglu, the new head of AKA Dhaka, “We are committed to working together towards a common goal: the betterment of our people and the realization of a peaceful, affluent, and prosperous Bangladesh.” Now in its second academic year, the Academy cherishes a vision, according to Suvina, who is a proponent of quality education, diversity, and inclusion. AKA Dhaka is the fourth in a network of Aga Khan Academies being established across Africa, South and Central Asia and the Middle East. The first Academy was inaugurated in Mombasa, Kenya, in 2003, followed by Hyderabad, India, in 2011, and Maputo, Mozambique, in 2013.
