The Aga Khan Foundation organised special awareness camps in the villages of Maulabad, Parvarbhari, and Tarawan in the Fatehpur tehsil area of Barabanki, India, to educate farmers about organic farming. At the camps, farmers were informed about the benefits of adopting organic farming over conventional farming. Agricultural experts suggested ways to increase production at lower costs as well as fertility, the side effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and farming techniques.
