On 14 October, Dallas-Fort Worth residents will move to invest in long-term solutions to improve the quality of life for communities worldwide. The annual Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Walk will be held at Frisco Square. As an initiative of the AKF, the event raises awareness and funds for programmes that mobilise communities around the world to build better futures. Last year, the foundation’s events raised $13.5 million to end poverty and organisers expect this year’s event to be even more successful.
