The Aga Khan Hospital (AKHS) Mombasa in conjunction with Reconstructing Women International conducted reconstructive surgeries for 29 women and children from 30 March to 3 April. The AKHS Mombasa through its partnership with Reconstructing Women Inter-national implemented a pro bono reconstructive surgery programme as part of its Patient Access and Welfare Initiative. This programme aimed to restore physical function and empower women to build their self-confidence and become productive members of their families and communities.
