The Portuguese Government and the Ismaili Imamat recently signed a Scientific and Technological Collaboration Protocol, which provides for funding of approximately 5 million euros for scientific research projects, reinforcing a strategic partnership with a direct impact on Portugal and the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP). The new financial package represents a reinforcement of the support already provided by the Ismaili Imamat and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) to scientific and academic research.
