His Highness the Aga Khan was awarded the Global Leadership Award on 18 October. This award was presented to him for his significant contribution to humanitarian cooperation and changing people's lives for the better. The Global Leadership Award is annually awarded to people and organisations that have made a significant contribution to the work of the United Nations (UN) for peace and prosperity. Prior to the award, His Highness met with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.
