Aga Khan Health Services Tanzania has launched a digital M-Health Patient Portal system that aims to transform the way patients access and track healthcare using technology. The system enables patients to access test results, view their medical history, store medical information and communicate with doctors through their mobile phones without having to visit the hospital every time. In addition to simplifying access to health information, the system is designed to enhance the continuity of care by integrating patient information into a single system that can be accessed by healthcare professionals in a timely manner. AKHS Tanzania Executive Director Sisawo Konteh said the launch is part of the institution's investment in technology and modern health infrastructure. "This centre strengthens our ability to bring specialist services closer to the public, while using technology to ensure patients access services more easily," he said.
