The Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre in Hyderabad has reached a major milestone for patient care by going load‑shedding‑free. Through a new partnership with the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), the hospital has been connected to an uninterrupted electricity feeder. The official agreement was signed during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony. With the new feeder, the Centre will receive continuous, reliable power for its critical maternal and child health services, eliminating interruptions that previously disrupted vital equipment and care. Dr Syed Mairajuddin Shah, Chief Operating Officer of AKUH Off‑Campus Hospitals, added, “This partnership with HESCO shows what is possible when institutions work together for the public good. Reliable electricity directly strengthens patient safety, clinical excellence, and our commitment to environmental responsibility.”
