Graduates in East Africa seeking to pursue specialist training in various medical fields can now take their examinations without leaving the continent as the Aga Khan University (AKU) Medical College in Kenya is offering one of the most recognised membership and speciality examinations for medical professionals. The Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP)(UK) approved AKU’s bid to start offering internationally recognised examinations. This makes AKU the "only centre that will offer MRCP (UK) Parts One and Two written examinations, and a practical clinical exam known as the Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills (PACES) in Sub-Saharan Africa".
