Aga Khan Trust for Culture director-general Luis Monreal recently said the Trust would provide both technical guidance and financial assistance for the conservation and restoration of the Hyderabad State Museum. Monreal, who visited the museum, held detailed discussions with heritage department officials on key aspects of conservation, including structural restoration of the building, interior design enhancements, and landscape development. As part of the department’s 112th foundation celebrations, heritage director Prof. K. Arjun Rao felicitated senior museum caretaker A. Bhanumoorthy for his service. According to the department, Bhanumoorthy contributed to over 100 excavations between 1975 and 2014.
