The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has won praise for its heritage restoration work in Hyderabad city. Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th hereditary imam of the Ismaili community, on Tuesday met with Telangana state chief minister Anumula Revanth Reddy in the state capital. "The discussions reflected on AKDN's longstanding work in Telangana across cultural heritage, education, healthcare, urban development, and community development," the organisation said in a statement. Reddy expressed his appreciation for the conservation and landscape development work undertaken by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), an agency of the AKDN, at the Qutb Shahi Tombs Complex, as well as the trust's work at the Nizam-era Old Assembly building. "We had meaningful discussions on heritage conservation, education, healthcare, and opportunities for further collaboration in Telangana," the state's minority welfare minister Mohammad Azharuddin said in a post on X after seeing off Prince Rahim.
