The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Aga Khan University (AKU) are exploring plans to establish a world-class teaching and tertiary care hospital in Islamabad, aimed at strengthening the capital’s healthcare and medical education infrastructure. The proposal was discussed during a meeting between CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, and President of Aga Khan University, Dr Sulaiman Shahabuddin, along senior leaders. During the meeting, Dr Shahabuddin expressed the university’s strong interest in setting up an integrated teaching and research hospital equipped with international-standard facilities.
