The Aga Khan University is set to open its Kampala Campus in May this year. During a media tour at the Nakawa based site, it was revealed that construction of the academic complex and student hostels are complete and only awaits furnishings before the university opens its doors to the students in June. The Aga Khan University is set to open its Kampala Campus in May this year. During a media tour at the Nakawa based site, it was revealed that construction of the academic complex and student hostels are complete and only awaits furnishings before the university opens its doors to the students in June. Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin, the Aga Khan University President revealed that the multi-million dollar education and healthcare facility is currently at 40 percent completion and is aimed at providing quality tertiary education as well specialised medical services. “Whatever we have at our old campus will be transferred here by May, by June, this building will be buzzing with students and then by September we’ll start our new nursing programmes, faculty of teachers among other programmes will be available come September”, said Dr. Sulaiman.
