Anthony Mujuni was on the verge of quitting his nursing career and wanted to discover professions outside nursing. After attending only one course from the Aga Khan University’s Continuous Professional Development programme, he changed his mind. He realised that nursing is a rewarding profession that requires a deep commitment to patient care, compassion and lifelong learning. “I felt my cup filled with lots of hope again in the nursing profession,” he writes in a recent op-ed, “Since then…I have never looked back. I therefore take the pleasure and honour to appreciate the Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery, Uganda Campus for its continued support in shaping the career of both pre-service and in-service Ugandan Nurses and Midwives.” Mr Mujuni currently works as a nurse in Kalangala District Local Government.
