The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in Pakistan briefed the Chitral district administration on its readiness to respond to emergencies during a recent planning meeting. Wali Muhammad Yaftali, Regional Programme Manager, outlined the agency's preparedness efforts and activities to support local communities. He informed participants that AKAH had completed the construction of protective embankments in three towns to migrate disaster risk. This year, AKAH also ensured the provision of safe drinking water in 13 schools across Lower Chitral.
