On 27 February, a joint meeting with the Gilgit Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA), the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) took place in Islamabad to discuss issues of Climate Change and Natural Disasters in the region. Mr. Nawab Ali Khan, CEO of AKAH, said AKAH has developed successful models and approaches of community based Disaster Risk Reduction and is keen to work with the Government organisations.
