The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Mr Farouk Adatia, the newly appointed Diplomatic Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Bangladesh, has formally assumed his duties. According to an official note circulated to diplomatic missions and international organisations in Dhaka on 10 February, Mr Adatia presented his Letter of Credence to Md Touhid Hossain, Foreign Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh on 25 January 2026. With the presentation of credentials, he has become officially functional as the AKDN’s Diplomatic Representative to Bangladesh.
