On 19 March, AKDN Resident Representative to Tajikistan, Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, had a meeting with the new International Financial Corporation (IFC) Country Officer, Farrukh Sultonov, to discuss AKDN projects launched in Tajikistan, such as Pamir Energy. He stressed that these projects were created when investors were not interested in investing in the Tajik economy. However, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and IFC, it became possible to establish Pamir Energy Company through a Public-Private Partnership. These initiatives have proven to be some of the most successful to date and created employment opportunities.
