The Forum and the International Tourist Exhibition, dubbed “Welcome to the Ancient Khatlon”, recently took place in the city of Kulob, Tajikistan. The governor and deputy governors of Khatlon province, heads of some cities and districts of the province, representatives of diplomatic corps, development partners, including the AKDN Resident Representative in Tajikistan, Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, and representatives of domestic and foreign tourism companies and entrepreneurs participated. The Forum was inaugurated by Khatlon Governor, Mr. Davlatali Said who presented the opportunities of Khatlon province for attraction of investments in the field of tourism. During the opening remarks, the AKDN Resident Representative Qozidavlat Qoimdodov spoke about AKDN activities in the country and in particular in Khatlon province, opportunities for cooperation in the field of tourism, and noted the shared learning in the development of the tourism industry.
