To mark World Heart Day, the Aga Khan Maternal and Child Care Centre (AKMCCC) in Hyderabad organised a one-day heart health camp to promote awareness, early detection on, and proactive management of cardiovascular health in the community. The initiative was held under the campaign slogan ‘Before Your Beat Changes. Know. Check. Act,” and brought specialist cardiologists from the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) to provide community members with access to specialist cardiovascular care closer to home. “Cardiovascular health requires proactive management, and early detection can play an important role in improving patient outcomes,” said Syed Mohammad Sohail, Chief Operating Officer, outreach services and off-campus hospitals, AKUH. “By bringing our specialists from Karachi to Hyderabad and making essential diagnostic services more accessible, AKMCCC is helping community members take timely steps towards protecting their heart health.”
