The Aga Khan University (AKU) Graduate School of Media and Communications (GSMC) has launched its Master of Arts in Strategic Communications Programme, aiming to broaden its influence in communications training within the region. The development of this new programme was informed by extensive research involving various stakeholders from across the region. It is designed to address key needs, such as crafting communications that are relevant, effective, and impactful. Professor Nancy Booker, Dean of GSMC, stated, “This programme has been meticulously crafted to tackle the unique and complex challenges encountered by communication professionals, policymakers, corporates, risk and crisis communication teams, government entities, and leadership in the developing world.” The addition of this programme complements GSMC’s existing two Masters programmes in Digital Journalism and Media Leadership & Innovation, along with a range of professional development courses.
