Pharmaceutical company Otsuka Pakistan has joined hands with the Aga Khan University Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (AKU-CIME) in collaboration with the Clinical Nutrition Department at AKUH, to initiate a series of training sessions to enhance healthcare capacity. A formal agreement to initiate this collaboration was recently signed at AKU-CIME by Dr Faisal Ismail, Regional Director (South Asia), AKU-CIME, and M Moin-ur-Rehman, President, Otsuka Pakistan. Senior leadership from both organisations were present to witness the ceremony. Speaking at the signing, Dr Faisal Ismail emphasised the significance of this alliance. “Being a doctor, I am well aware of the tradition of quality and focus on patient safety that comes with the name of Otsuka. We partner only with organisations that share our values—and I see this as a wonderful collaboration for high-impact capacity-building,” he said.
