The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi, has been listed among the top 100 Academic Medical Centres (AMCs) worldwide in the latest Brand Finance 2024 Global Top 250 Hospitals’ report. According to the report, available with Dawn, AKUH has been placed at the 85th position while Mayo Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Combined Military Hospital and University Dental Hospital have scored spots in the 250-rank list. The top two positions have been bagged by American hospitals and an Indian hospital has been ranked at the third position. Overall, three Indian hospitals are in the top 100 ranks. The AKUH is the only hospital in Pakistan accredited by the Joint Commission International, the world’s leading hospital accreditation body.
