The Badakhshan Disaster Management Authority, in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), has distributed food aid to 315 families affected by natural disasters in Afghanistan. According to Mawlawi Mohammad Akram Akbari, Head of the Disaster Management Authority in Badakhshan, the aid package included a total of 1,260 bags of flour, 3,780 litres of oil, 3,780 kilograms of beans, and 472 kilograms of salt. The distribution took place in the presence of local officials and representatives from the Aga Khan Foundation across three locations in the Yamgan district, directly benefiting those affected by natural disasters. The Head of Badakhshan Disaster Management Authority stated that the goal of this initiative was to support those in need and address the challenges faced by the victims of natural disasters.
