A central seminar on oral cancer prevention, surgical advances and therapeutic innovations was held at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) in Dhaka on Monday, highlighting the importance of early detection, multidisciplinary treatment and greater public awareness. The guest of honour, Ahmed Nadeem Abbasi, professor of oncology department, Aga Khan University, Pakistan, praised the progress made by BMU’s clinical oncology department in education, training, examination methods, online education and e-learning since his previous visit. He expressed hope for stronger cooperation between BMU and Aga Khan University in education, research, training and cancer care.
