The jeep-able bridge at Ishkarwarz of Broghil valley, Pakistan has increased connection between the population of this border valley with the rest of the country, opening avenues of progress and prosperity there. Before the construction of the bridge two years ago by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) under its Central Asia Poverty Programme, five villages out of seven in the Broghil valley lacked adequate infrastructure. Former Nazhim of the Broghil village council, Amin Tajik, said that the establishment of the crucial bridge has spurred economic investment, and the government has approved construction of new buildings. Before the bridge, it was not possible to easily transport the necessary building materials to the area.
