Professor Nancy Booker, who is a member of the Nation Media Group board and Dean at the Aga Khan University's Graduate School of Media and Communications, opened the International Women’s Day Gala Dinner organised by the Nation Media Group with a reflection on the progress women have made globally. "We must challenge biases, amplify marginalised voices, and create environments where all individuals - regardless of gender - feel valued and heard," said Professor Booker. Booker acknowledged the progress Kenya has made, while pointing out the persistent barriers women still face, including underrepresentation in leadership and economic opportunities.
