Medical students from Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC), along with HOD Dr Ashraf and Assistant Professor Dr. Sana Adiba, went to the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH)Karachi for a simulation workshop by Centre of Innovation in Medical Education (CIME). The purpose of the simulation workshop was to make the students familiar with the latest medical technologies being used to assist the diagnosis and treatment of diseases: mannequins and robots. The participants concluded that it was one of the most knowledgeable, informative, and eye-opening trips, where not only students but also teachers learnt a lot. The trip acknowledged the many advancements in technology which have resulted in creating tremendous changes in the field of medicine and dentistry. By far, AKUH is the only institution that has all the new technology.
