The final event of the Ata Menen project, implemented by the Roza Otunbayeva Initiative International Foundation within the framework of the regional programme Advancing Gender Equality through Civil Society (AGECS) with the support of the Government of Canada and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in Kyrgyzstan, was recently held in Bishkek. The meeting brought together representatives of government and public organisations, partners and participants of the project to celebrate the results achieved and discuss prospects for sustainable development. Aga Khan Foundation representative Mohammed Shah Khan explained, “This project spans different cultures, landscapes and social structures. But at the core of our work remains the desire to advance equality in ways that resonate deeply with local communities. Kyrgyzstan is no exception.”
