The University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Education Improvement Programme conducted face-to-face professional development workshops for 171 teachers of English, maths, chemistry and Information and Communication Technology in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Naryn (Kyrgyzstan), and Taldykorgan (Kazakhstan) in January. The workshops focused on enhancing teachers’ knowledge of specific subject content, as well as creating innovative activities, strategies, and skills to develop students’ curricula and competencies. The workshops also provided a platform for teachers to collaborate and share learning.
