The European Union (EU) in partnership with Daily Monitor have launched the third series of the EU comic series Tesa and Luuka. This edition is set in Mbale District and will be featured every Tuesday in the Rainbow Magazine for six weeks starting 2 July. At the launch of the series, Ms Anna Merrifield, the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Uganda, said the comic focuses on social challenges that children face in the eastern region. Mr Tony Glencross, Managing Director of NMG Uganda, said he was glad of this partnership to promote children’s rights in Uganda and fight all injustices through educative programmes. He said through the series, Daily Monitor is cultivating a reading culture and reaching out to various areas within the country.
