The first phase of the restoration of the Quli Qutb Shahi Tombs taken up by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) would be completed by January 2018. After a meeting with AKTC Director General Luis Monreal and other senior officials from the Trust, Telangana Tourism Secretary, B Venkatesham, said the State government was extending all support to the Trust for the restoration and protection of the priceless heritage. The effort of the AKTC and Telangana Tourism is to restore the Tombs to how they were nearly 500 years ago.
