The restoration project of Fort Cornwallis in Malaysia has now entered its second phase and is expected to be completed in July and will be officially open to the public during the George Town World Heritage Celebration. The project is led by the George Town Conservation and Development Corporation (GTCDC), with the participation of the Chief Minister’s Incorporation (CMI) and Think City, and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) as technical advisors. Think City managing director Hamdan Abdul Majeed revealed that the engineering team is working on connecting the western and southern moats of Fort Cornwallis. Simultaneously, the construction of new bridges and gates in the western area is also being carried out, and the surrounding landscape projects will further enhance the visitor experience.
