The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) has donated equipment worth Ksh 6.5 million to Garissa vocational training to help the youth acquire skills and knowledge. AKF Monitoring and evaluation officer, Mr Deo Ochieng, said Lamu and Mandera counties have also benefited from similar donations. He said the project is aimed at making sure youth get enough skills for self-reliance and diverting them from engaging in criminal activities. This is the third time youth from the county will benefit from such a programme which is funded by European Union.
