National and international scholars recently stressed on empowering women with better education, being sensitive towards their health problems, ensuring equal job opportunities and respecting their rights, during a webinar in connection with UN Sustainable Development Goals-5 "Gender Equality". Dr Anita Anis Allana of the Aga Khan University said: "Women leadership in past was accepted. They were given higher roles in the economic and diplomatic hierarchies and have also made some positive contributions towards societies they led".
