The Gilgit Baltistan (GB) government recently signed its first public-private partnership agreement with Industrial Promotion Services to build the first run-of-the-river power project in GB. GB's Finance Adviser said that the private sector engagement was pivotal for the development in GB. This is the first run of the river project in GB and if successful, the government will replicate the future projects based on the same model.
