In Hyderabad, the Telangana High Court asked the state government to constitute a special committee on the protection of historical monuments of the state and take steps for their protection. It also asked the state government to prepare an action plan for the development of these monuments. Several professional stakeholders will be part of this committee, including the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. The committee is due to meet on 22 April to discuss a comprehensive re-development plan for the Golconda fort and all historical monuments located within its radius.
