The State Minister for Health, Ms Sarah Opendi, has lauded the Aga Khan Development Network for bringing a new perspective and approach to improving Uganda’s education and nursing systems. Ms Opendi noted that the university was making a great contribution to the nursing profession, which she described as the “life blood” of Uganda’s health systems. Mr Firoz Rasul, the AKU President, encouraged the graduates to remember how their education has equipped them with the skills to tackle challenges around them.
