HBL, Pakistan’s leading financial institution, proudly celebrated the fifth anniversary of its Beijing Branch – an important milestone in the Bank’s growing presence in China. Established in 2021, HBL became the first, and remains the only, Pakistani bank to open a branch in Beijing, the nation’s capital. HBL is one of only three banks from South Asia and the MENA region offering end-to-end RMB (Renminbi) intermediation in China. The Beijing Branch serves as HBL’s managing branch in the country, alongside its Urumqi Branch. Both branches are equipped with foreign exchange and RMB capabilities, enabling the Bank to meet clients’ needs in multiple currencies.
