Sultan Ali Allana the Chairman of HBL and Muhammad Nassir Salim the President & CEO arrived in Dhaka this week for a three-day official visit aimed at deepening Bangladesh's economic ties with key global markets. The schedule included meetings with senior policymakers, regulators and business leaders, focusing on strengthening trade links between Bangladesh and HBL's markets across South Asia, China also the Middle East and Africa. The visit also marks 50 years of HBL's presence in Bangladesh where the bank has played a major role in supporting foreign trade over five decades. Allana has chaired HBL's board since February 2004 while Salim became President & CEO in March 2024.
